COVID UPDATE – RETURN TO ROWING

All the Covid advice / guidance can be found on the CPGA Website Covid page.

New Government guidance from 14/9/20 clarified.

Please remember that all guidance needs to be followed before a return to rowing.

Please remember that people are always watching the gigs, this is a critical time for rowing in general as it returns to the water. We have already had a photo from the general public, asking what guidance is being followed.

Social media is a useful tool for all but will also be negative if advice isn’t followed.

CPGA CLUBs 2nd FORUM ‘RETURN TO ROWING’

As per the requests of those present at the 1st Forum the second will take place on Thursday 17th September, 2020.

Please register here by Wednesday 16th Sept at noon. The link will then be sent to your club contact.

HAS YOUR CLUB RETURNED TO ROWING?

Following the 1st Club Forum – ‘Return to Rowing’ many clubs discussed returning to the water around mid-September.

In order to ascertain the number of clubs back on the water, please can you complete the questions via the link.

REGATTAS 2021

Thanks to those who have already submitted dates for 2021.

We currently have no idea what next year will hold regarding regattas, but we need to prepare.

So please can you select your best three (3) dates and submit in order of preference by the 30th September 2020. Simply send to secretary@cpga.co.uk

ROWING REGISTER 3RD QUARTER – SEPTEMBER 2020

We are all aware that there has been no rowing since the 16th March and that some rowing is now beginning, 29th August.

We are therefore not requiring a June register, but if you are back on the water by the 30th September, please submit your rowing register.

RECYCLING INKJET AND TONER CARTRIDGES

There are weekly emails from the recycling company – so a thank you to all who are continuing to use this service to the benefit of the environment and the CPGA.

Anyone who hasn’t yet, here is a great opportunity to recycle an item that most homes, offices etc have.
